It's pretty fun workin on him but some advice would be nice. XD I'm thinking about doin the body green and the fur black. Good combo or no... Update tomorrow maybe. :D

Or maybe black with green fur. Dark blue with silver fur. Black scales with any fur color would look fine.

Perhaps a maroon/ red velvet color for the fur? Because you're doing it for a friend for Christmas? Or maybe a light blue and white fur?
Eh. So many possibilities for this guy :)

Actually, you have a lot of black pieces in your gallery that look fine. So I may be wrong about my previous statement. Or it could be that you're just a great photographer ;]

..In my experience, black is not the best choice. But color it as you like! I'm sure it will look awesome no matter what.

This is fantastic! You did a good job with the pose- it looks fluid and well-balanced :D
As for tips for improvement...there isn't much that you can improve on! Maybe the chest area (first curve) looks a little wider than the rest of him. And in the future it would pay off to study bone and muscle structure of actual animals... But honestly it looks great as it is.

If you use black for coloring, the downside is that you won't be able to see the details as well (unless you make it very shiny). The fur is so beautiful ad detailed, I wouldn't want to lose that.

Thanks for the well needed advice. I actually did look at my cats for inspiration but practice makes perfect. XD Black is really not the best color but I try and find ways to make it happen. Thanks again for the critique friend.
